Book Review Policy

The bottom line: I only review books that interest me. Some are classics while others are ARCs received from authors, publicists, or publishers in exchange for an honest review. I do not receive compensation for any book reviews. They reflect my own genuine thoughts and opinions. That said, I cannot promise a positive review. I aim to post ARC reviews on my blog Barda Book Talk, Goodreads, and NetGalley before their release dates, though I cannot guarantee a specific date of publication. I am not accepting self-published books for review at this time.

      Hello Amy,

Thanks for your comments. Actually, as stated above, I only review books that I am interested in and request for myself. I review books for fun, at my own pace. I am a full-time student and a mom, so the time spend reviewing books is limited right now. I published a book review policy because many authors were sending me pitches for their books on my blog. Although I am flattered, I cannot possibly read all the books people are kindly offering to send my way. Also, there are many genres I do not read, so many of the pitches I receive aren’t suited for me.

So, all this to say, I do not share my e-mail because I am not accepting unsolicited pitches or books for review at this time. I only review books through a select number of publishers on NetGalley and Goodreads for now.

If you are a publisher or publicists working in collaboration with NetGalley, you will find my contact information on that site.
